Join the Dakota County Star Quilters for their 29th annual Quilt show, Quilt Art for the Love of It.

The lecture "Growing a Voice in Quilting" by Carol Hancuh, will take place on Tuesday, April 9th at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. In her fused quilts, Carol explores how colors work together to create interest. Detail and subject matter are also important. An example of Carol's work is "The Voting Line," which is really 25 quilts depicting 27 people standing in line waiting to vote. For more information on Carol and her quilts, see chancuhquilts.com. You can learn more about this lecture and the quilt show by visiting the DCSQ website, or you can register for the lecture directly through their Eventbrite posting.

This year's exhibition will feature more than 100 quilts on display, contributed by members of the Dakota County Star Quilters. There is an annual challenge project among the members that visitors can vote for their favorites throughout the duration of the show.

Please note: The only Tuesday that the quilt show will be open is Tuesday, April 9th, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
