 The
DCHS library has microfilmed copies of the records of
all the Catholic churches in Dakota County. These records
include baptism, marriage and death records and can
be a wonderful source of information. We have added
a number of microfilm reels from the Cathedral of St.
Paul. An interesting aside is the tendency to declare
in as many ways possible that an infant being baptized
is illegitimate, father unknown, mother unmarried, and
born out of wedlock, often all these on the same record. |
