SIMMONS - A Tribute to Carroll Simmons and His LeDuc Legacy
Saturday July 5 through Sunday October 26 - Leduc Historic Estate
2008 marks the 50th anniversary of Carroll Simmons donation of the Leduc Historic Estate to the Minnesota Historical Society. Carroll Simmons ran his antique business from the Estate from the 1940s to 1986 and during that time he became one of the leading antique experts in the nation. Join us for a special exhibition of some of the extraordinary antiques purchased from Mr. Simmons by local collectors.

Leduc Crazy Quilt 2008
Thursday June 19 through December 31 - Leduc Historic Estate
See a dynamic new crazy quilt at the Estate. Created by quilters from the national online Crazy Quilt List from all silk fabric and assembled by local volunteer and historian Cindy Thury Smith. This is the third in a series of quilts created for the Estate annually.

Ebba C. Hoffman Theater
Called "One of the best introductory productions in the country" by Herb Sparrow, editor of Group Travel magazine, this object theater presentation introduces guests to the Leduc family and history of the Estate. Made possible by a gift from Sharon and Terry Avent.

This detailed look at the mansion and grounds includes:
- Over 50 interactive 360 degree panoramic images of the interior and exterior spaces.
- Over 200 photographs, many from the Leduc family albums.
- Numerous sketches by Alice Sumner Leduc illustrating her life at the Leduc Estate in the late 1800s.
- Biographies of each of the Leduc family members.
